I enjoy political discussions but this forum is not for that, even in the watering hole. I for one appreciate what Kevin has running here for us and believe it is his house and his rules. I think we...
For each enemy combatant he killed it potentially saves American service members lives. I did this same job in the US Army, do you have anything you would like to say to me about the things I did? I...
This is such an important thing to me for so many reasons. I served as a sniper in the US Army in Iraq and the brotherhood is a strong one. Chris Kyle was a spokesman for us all. He was also killed...
Sorry, no. I took a break over the holidays and then got sick and am just now getting back into the swing of things. I should be back at it by next month or so. I'll be working on the AV bay next...
That's cool
Oooo!!! Nice!!!
Another update... I'm taking a break for the holidays. Did my last thing for the year on it today and that was to take my amateur radio license test so I can get a telemetrum. Walked in for my tech...
I have checklists and checklists for checklists. I have packing lists and inventory lists for all of my stuff. Heck, I even have hand receipts in case someone wants to borrow something from me. I am...
Nice!
Looks like we are both running on almost the same schedule.
Just an update... I have a nice big box full of electrical parts to build my electronics bay out of. I'm waiting on buying some more epoxy till the 1st. Just had too much going on with kids this...
Oh my!
I'm going to wait till the first to buy some anyway so maybe I can check the boat shops around the area here. Of not it won't hurt too bad to just order some.
If only I had a hand like that when I was younger. I would have never been without a date.
I don't subscribe, but I will now.
To all our deployed members, please stay safe and thank you for your service.
Stay Alert! Stay Alive!
Sorry for your loss.
Eric, that is wonderful news. God has his hands on her for sure. You guys will remain in my prayers.
Oh nice!
I don't mind sanding as much as I used to. I can feel the arthritis creeping up to my hands lately though. I usually have half a million ideas going through my head at once so I just zone out and...
This is the part that I always love. Making the rocket a personal expression. I think that this is the main reason I love rocketry so much. You can be as creative as you want or as plane as you...
Kevin, I can't wait to see this rocket finished. This was one of my favorite rockets when I was first coming into high power and I think this is going to be an extremely beautiful rocket when done.
Hasn't their been problems recently with larger CTI motors and cato's?
They actually come that way, but that's about normal to do on split fins.
One more set of internal fillets to inject. Here is the fillets I made with the last of my epoxy. Much better than the first and the space is so close in there it just fills it up to the body tube....
Congratulations!
Dude, that's slick!
This ^
I tried threading them but having to screw those little limp screws in to get prepped for a launch is a pain in the butt. I like being able to just push them in.
Wood + paper = Titebond
Epoxy fillets to finish it off.
At least that's what I do. YMMV
Three step process...
1. Get both
2. Fly both
3. Prosper!
Yeah, I wouldn't mind finding a good cheap source for West Systems. I can wait, I'm in no rush.
