Well yeah. Just a funny thought of mine.
I am wanting to laugh thinking of this failing due to inability to insert the ignitor beyond the 2" core. Guessing you have this detail figured out.
I don't get it. This may also be the first time I was referred to as normal. Maybe I'm an exception to that second part.
If he is both, just cert with TRA. They are cross certified, right? I am not a dual member, but I never thought reps from BOTH would be needed.
FYI - I'm suggesting, but asking as well.
If I were to guess a guideline was needed for saftey / insurance. Most likely what seemed reasonable at the time. Do do not remember if any ratio is documented anywhere, but I do remember hearing /...
I've seen RSO's check if it was around the 5:1 ratio at large launches. I thought this was in the safety code? Then there were the LOC rockets like the HiTech H45 and EZI-65 named for their...
I got a bunch of Kosdons still wrapped in craft paper from the eBay sales Dave Triano did. Most do not have nozzles etc. Just how they rolled.
I keep nice long shipping boxes to stand tubes up on end. Nested within each other. Haven't had any storage damage yet to LPR and LOC style tubes.
Retail.
From email announcement:
Just so I am clear that is off MSRP.
May not be combined with any other offer or sale.
Thank you
Tim
Wow, that's pretty close to a gift level deal.
I'm in the market for a gallon of Papi at a resonable price.
My last ebay builds, I covered the hole the wires pass through, the exposed wires conecting the alt to the terminal block, and the space getting them into the terminal blocks with hot glue. Seals it...
+1 Performance hobbies. Ken is easy to deal with (a one man shop though like most HPR dealers). Attends launches in PA, MD, NC, etc.
Looks like the Futurama EyePhone.
If people want them great. Not while driving. Your right to use them should not interfere with some else's right to live. When tech improves to where the car...
I just want to find a junkyard with rocket motors (besides my basement)!
Either a heck of a sale or they mixed up the cost of the reloads. Performance hobbies has the low price on the website, but out of stock. The case alone is priced higher.
I haven't tried every reload, but the 38/360, 480, and 720s I tried do not flare outward. I haven't seen a phenolic or graphite nozzle do this.
Funny - on my dipped igniters a crack means failure. I use 36AWG Nich. this must be the difference. I found the pyrogen acts as a heat sink and the crack is a break where the Nich just fries...
Had to sand my phenolic liner for a 38/720 reload for my level 2 flight a few years ago. Fun stuff. At least yours in cardboard!
If it feels loose enough after peeling a layer, maybe add masking...

This ebay seller has lots of sizes, best price I know of.
Lost a 17" long 3 1/2" diam nose cone. Hand made G10 fiberglass. Primered it. Never got it painted. Looked for it a dozen times or so. Guessing it is stolen by a klepto or a dog made it a chew...
I always used switch bands. Kinda liking the half moon idea - I may have to try that on a build. Normally I separate both drogue and main at the ebay, so it may not work unless I change to separate...
I have many eyebolts / u-bolts off-center, but they are usually decent sized rockets 4-6" dia.
That eyebolt big compared to the coupler, but not that far off center (the fender washer is there)....
That has identity theft written all over it. I would never put a card in that thing.
I missed the sugar motor craze. Something about cooking it scared me away from trying it. I would want a higher margin of error / safety for a casing than 300psi if I got one to fly well with APCP....
Citations, no. Most people won't use PVC with APCP so I doubt I will see any fail. Also 300 PSI isn't doing much for most of the 38-54mm APCP motors I've made. The only refereces to people using...
Ruptures disipate with safe distances. Never seen casing parts thrown very far in a CATO - just peeled open. Smaller fragments like broken glass are the concern - those can travel far / fast. That...
In the sense that commercial single use motors used them until reloads became popular. Seen many catoes back in the day, most the case was broken into several large pieces.
I seen a research O or...
