Looking for sheets of 1.5mm thick G-10 for a project.
Let's hope it is not Carnival Lines!!!! I see a lot of ads now for Princess lines and Celebrity Cruises....they are just beating the hell out of the internet and not one ad from Carnival!!

I got to see Chris' Hyperloc 1600 on this last Saturday at TTRA.....it is one fine rocket!!! He has done a wonderful job on construction and painting. I have watched Chris progress through his...
Three obvious musical references come to mind in a name:
1. Moby
2. Rain
3. Kiss the Sky

Jim Harris has produced some very good motors as Gorilla Motors. I consider his sparkies to be the best on the market. I am fortunate to be a member of the Tripoli Tampa Rocketry Association and...
I knew that Deb was using a derivative of John's original red sparky and have seen photos of a 76-6000 case loaded with it......awesome!
I also have been fortunate to play around with John's Black...
I know for a fact that Debra Koloms has been making Red Sparkies for a while (M class) as has John Demar.
I remember reading The Hobbit in late fall of 1971, and then The Lord of the Rings in 1972 just as The Who released Join Together......I found it quite appropriate.

Yeah....the 95 degrees and the 75% humidity don't feel so bad when the sea breeze kicks in at about 2 P.M., right, Harold??? Hahaha

Quite frankly, I think Chris' answer should be the stock answer to "How do I proceed to my level 2 certification?" At each level, you build different rockets for different purposes. You may need a...
Try checking with Jeff Davenport (JD Cluster). He knows more about Kosdons than anyone I know.

When I go to a launch, I want to get there fast. What makes me drive fast is..........................................Foo Fighters!!!
I normally listen to a lot of YES, Floyd, Zepp, and Older...
I am curious as to what the total cost of this BlackHawk 38 build would be minus the cost of the motor.
Thanks,

Evan:
What part of Ohio? DO you fly with Mars or go to Geneseo at all?
You may know of Rich Pitzeruse. He and I use to upscale Estes Mosquitos. I think the largest I did was a 4 inch...
JD is right about flutter, but I might add that those long rakish fins have a marked propensity to snap off when making ground contact (unless you have them heavily glassed).

Chris:
You may have confused Chris Nolen, the Rocket Gator with me, BUCKEYEGATOR. We met at the pads as you were loading one of your rockets and did not need any assistance since you are so...
Thanks guys....lots of ways to do it.

Whoops...Just saw the video!!!! GRAINS is correct...nice.
Terry
Eric:
You are talking GRAINS here, correct? 15.4 GRAINS/GRAM.
Very nice design. I could not find prices for the orignal. What is the price of this unit? I have a competitor's model, but...
I am building a 5.5 inch Nike Smoke and wanted to get best opinions on how to extend the rail guides past that large nosecone. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Terry
I have the Iwata HP-CS Eclipse. Again, overkill for painting entire rockets. These Iwatas are good for detail work. However, I am rebuilding a Magnum into an Endeavor that will "appear" to have...
This is a function of 4 variables. Since velocity is exponential, it holds more weight in the function. Holding velocity constant, and, as we have already agreed, Cd is constant, the only things...
Mine was heavily built using Flexible phenolic from Red Arrow Hobbies. Fiberglass throughout plus fins....Curtis nosecone....without the motor and noseweight, it weighed 11.5 pounds. ON the AMW...
I recently had the opportunity to use the Transolve Transbeep and found it to be an excellent product. It worked as advertised...exposure to light turned it on and it could be heard from quite a...
Butalane:
I think you may have the proper definition and process.

I know for sure that Gorilla does.

Ok, guys, I'll accept that it was a kite. Even in the larger photos it appears like a kite, but I had never seen a kite that didn't flutter to some degree. Of course, it was so high up as you say,...
I have flown a lot of skids. I flew skids from APS, Ronnie Urinsco and Mike Dunkel's defunct company, CTI, AMW, and I am suprised that a lot of you are not mentioning Gorilla Motors.
From...
I am north of Clearwater, in Tarpon Springs, and I live about 1/4-1/3 mile from the water.
Question: How do you get an unattended or runaway kite to not waiver in the wind, or move forward or...
