More like 1 in 10. Ive had Lyme disease two times, no big deal if you catch it. Look for ticks, remove them, and then look for the EM rash. If you remove a deer tick within the first 48 hours, go...
1/4th should be plenty strong, but the wider stuff is less likely to slice into your airframe on recovery.
Yes I was speaking specifically about murder, not fist fights. The OP was talking about events more serious than that.
USA is worst among wealthy, industrialized nations for murder, mostly by...
If we really want to get historical, but stick to the CONUS, the battle of Antietam was in September, and Gettysburg was July.
Between 1970 and 1990, thousands of Americans were being murdered...
Even though Eric and I do not agree on many things, we do agree that a calm discussion of gun policy is a good reaction to a horrible shooting. If we don't talk about it now, when will we? The "be...
I think Japan didn't invade us because of the Pacific ocean in the way, and our army and navy second to none in the World... But yeah a few old timers with hunting rifles were probably their main...
Interestingly, the people who think we could never do what Japan has done, are the barrier preventing us from doing it!
Cool idea, now prove it. -Science
My idea is right, so stop asking questions. -Religion
Pick one, but don't cross the streams.
I see you read wikipedia like me. But you never made it to this page:

"New York is one of the strictest states in the nation with regards to...
I am not in the habit of ignoring people with whom I don't agree. I think living in an echo-chamber like most conservatives and liberals is harmful to democracy.
"I do not regret having political...
How many guns are there in China, Japan, the UK, Germany? They have strong anti-gun laws and guns are rare there. Or is this also just a lucky coincidence?
The strong gun laws in NYC have...
Have you given up your right to own nuclear weapons? This is only different by degrees. We give up some rights for the greater good.
Those other rights do immense good to society, and cause...
Well clearly all priests should carry guns.
The gun ownership rate in the United States is about twice as high as that in Switzerland. The handgun ownership is far higher still. We also cannot compare their culture, largely well-educated,...
Nothing wrong with military people or police with guns, they are trained and go through a series of tests (physical, mental) to demonstrate that they are ready. The problem is when every person, and...
The language is fine, I know this is a very hot topic for people. Getting angry is a natural reaction.
Drunk driving is massively regulated and constantly attacked by police enforcement. Our...
Eric, that image is funny, but we don't make laws expecting criminals to obey them. That is why they are called criminals. The laws make it harder to commit the crimes in the first place, and allow...
Making it much harder to get guns and ammo (an often overlooked part of gun control) would reduce the number of guns in the hands of bad guys. But that is not the source of gun crime, most gun...
Funny you mentioned OK city bombing... it resulted in the death of about 160 people. Since that bombing, in 1995, there have been approximately 150,000 murders by gun. Or nearly 1000 times more...
Slight? Looks like 45 degrees!
Lots of us fly on farms, so we tend to avoid anything other than paper being left on the field... Particularly the little plastic parts. One hopes that lost rockets are eventually recovered by...
But if this is a choice between two VK nosecones then go with price. :)
If you really want all-out performance you should reduce the internal volume of the rocket significantly... way too much...
Price would probably settle it for me... not going to buy a nosecone that costs almost as much as the rocket kit! Speaking seriously, I think on a bigger rocket like a 4 inch model, the RW is worth...
You can also make fins out of thin plywood or even basswood and then add your own reinforcing layer of fiberglass AFTER you install the fins on the rocket. This is a different way to do it, but...
Was Jurassic kick a paper airframe? I assume kick drums were fiberglass back then.
I find that paper actually lasts very well, although I do fly on very soft fields so that is a different world than dry lake bed. But the benefit to paper is that it is quite flexible and so has a...
H410 on a Loc Graduator. The rocket ate it up and asked for more.
The Groove-Lok is a good idea, does it prevent the fin tabs from going far enough into the rocket so as to be flush to the outside of the airframe? I imagine there are a few mm extra metal in there.
Ive flown F motors from 1/8th inch no problem, although I would shorten the rod if anything since the rocket won't need much time on it. 3/16ths is plenty I think, just keep it short.
