You could, but I don't think I would. I wouldn't put plastic stuff inside the charge well because I think it would melt and just make a mess. I have plugged EX motor charged wells with rolled-up...
Alright ... Wichita State getting some love here. Who's a Shocker besides SteveA and me?
Shocker themed rocket, anyone?
We continue to be weather challenged here in Kansas. Weather forecast is calling for big wind again for Saturday and overnight rain so we're going to push the March launch back 1 more week.

Weather forecast is calling for thunderstorms and big wind for this weekend so we're going to push the March launch back 1 week.
New date is 16-March-2013.
Let's hope for much needed rain for...
Use stranded core wire for point-to-point wiring in your electronics bay. 22 gauge is about right. With the lengths needed inside a rocket, resistance won't be a factor.
My experience is that...
If the altimeter is being used for only main deployment, you don't have to pair the holes in the airframe with the holes in the nosecone. Once the nosecone is out in free air and the holes exposed,...
Used quite a bit by flyers in the Plains. Very reliable, very small, and good range. You can get about 1 mile on the ground unless the rocket lands in a ditch or ravine. I have never lost a rocket...
The KLOUDBusters February Fun Fly launch will take place on Saturday 16-February-2013 .
The forecast for this weekend is much better than last.

Same here. The technician connected all the sensors and "sleep" didn't seem like a real option. I swear I saw every hour on the clock, but when the study was over they had graphs and charts galore...

Yes, is could, but it doesn't mean it will. It just isn't worth the risk to me. On a small rocket, you might get away with it, but it is a good practice to include the holes in all your builds. ...
I won't fly a rocket that doesn't have a pressure relief hole in each airframe section. 1/8" should suffice. Put the hole up as high as you can just below the nosecone or coupler shoulder so that...
You said you were a recent BAR. I found when I joined the world of HPR that my building skills had to evolve from my preconcieved notions of how I built cardboard and wood rockets up to the skills...
Waiver approval has been confirmed ... however ...
Due to rain today and forecast cold and windy weather for this weekend we're going to postpone to 19-January-2013 in hope of better conditions. ...

The good news: you used the pizza pan for a "splat mat". ;)

We've got 12' rails, so you can factor that into your equation as well. The J90 and K185 kick pretty well initially.
J90's initial kick is about 27# and gets to 40# at about .75 sec.

Not really very practical. A lot of wasted space for 'serious' rocketeers.

Yes.
