The booster fins got the same treatment.
There were a few minor blemishes on the sustainer I wanted to fix. I sprayed some yellow into a cup and used a brush to cover up the places where red had intruded.
Bump for editing
To finish things up, I brushed on a coat of Future (or whatever they're calling it this year) to try to protect it just a little bit. With that, the Bi-oc is ready to go!
All in all, the touch ups brought my Bi-oc to the point where I will not be ashamed to take it out on my next outing.
I appreciate the input.
I didn't know about the adhesive tapes. That info will come in handy.
As for this particular screwball project, I had forgotten about a product I saw here on TRF called...
Very nice.
I'd like to copy to the gallery if I may.
I just found a copy of the photo that DARS used on the cover of their newsletter.

If that's like the ones I remember, many of those had an inset like I was speaking about. I think that's what I see protruding from the upper segment of the pic you posted but, for some reason, VB is...
A second coat of paint helped tremendously on the plates as well.
The struts cleaned up much more nicely.
The first attempt improved things but not enough. I gave the paint a chance to dry and went on to other ugliness.
The smudges, smears and overspray were handled similarly. Some red was squirted into another paper cup and a brush was used to apply it.
Before trying to tough up the smudges, I wanted to get a particularly egregious missed place. I shook up the blue rattle can and sprayed some paint into a paper cup. I then used a brush to touch up...
Since I posted this, I've been looking on Amazon. I have not found what I am looking for yet but my idea is progressing.
The ultimate goal is a tube cutting jig.
I envisioned a pair of 1x4...
I know I have seen wooden items sometimes with a ruler let into the surface. I am guessing this is done by routing out a channel for the ruler but I really do not know.
Can somebody enlighten me?...
It does indeed happen... to me on a regular basis. That's why I'm used to it!!!!
Still, she's not finished yet and will look better before I am done with her.

Since the "yuk" factor exceeded my already high tolerance, something had to be done. Fortunately, my lack of skill in painting has given me the experience I need to deal with this situation and while...

Removing the masking reinforced a theme in my life: from a distance, things looked OK...
Its her LAST! She graduates in 2 weeks. Then its off to the convent.
I know what you mean.
I think Stacey is really sweet (most of the time!) A beautiful soul.
I wish her all the best... really... I mean it... in 40 or 50 years.
I WANT!!!!!
I didn't have that one though I have a similar one that I have planned to use for years when the time is right. I was thinking when she hit 35 or 40.
Actually, I don't recall saying muc hof anything. It was more of a sputtering sound.

I was thinking of disolving the "evidence" with some sort of acid.
I think she's beautiful and that the pics do not do her justice.
I wish we had not wasted all that money on acne treatments.
I actually wear bib overalls quite often. When this happened today, though, I had just come home from the hospital and was wearing a clerical collar.
I hope that doesn't give him the illusion I'm...
Sounds reasonable. I'll let him take a few before closing my hand around his neck.
