There was a 29mm G71 Redline that was pulled from the market many years ago. I think it was due to a problem with the delay grain.

+1, This is a great approach. No need to even add glue. So if for some bizarre reason you do need to launch from a 1/4" rod, you can simply unscrew...

About Mr Rocket
- Biography:
- I am a born again rocketeer. I was originally introduced to model rocketry in the late 70's and early 80's as a teen. Built many (mostly Estes) kits, some of which I still have.
Got back into rocketry when my son got Space Ex merit badge in scouts. I was telling him how we used to design our own models and would find CG by balancing on a string, CP by balancing a cardboard cutout, and test for stability by swinging the rocket in a circle over our heads. This made me think that there must be software to do this now. I found Open Rocket and mid power motors. I was hooked again.
Recent projects include a scratch built minimum featherweight recovery rocket with my son which he calls The Peanut; an Estes Vector Force with my younger son; a scratch built Estes, Design of the Month, 2 stage, rotationally stabilized, finless rocket called the Tao; and an Aerotech Arreaux, my first MidPower rocket!
Currently working on modifying the Tao, finishing the Kraken, Ventris, Defender MkII, and starting work on the LOC Athena (which will hopefully be my Level 1. It is being modified to have a 38mm motor mount and traditional dual deploy) and a custom scratch build.
I have started using reloadable motors, 24 and 29mm E, F and G midpower. I also have started getting into launching electronic payloads such as altimeters and video cameras.
