Exactly my thoughts, need to get some color on it so I can get it off my work bench so I can finish the Partiot! Heading to Ace Hardware to pick out a color(s) today.

My grandson and I got a lot done on his G Force this weekend. The worst of it is all most done. Going to paint the G Force and my PML Callisto at the same time then start on my Wart Hog. We all so have 4 or 5 low power rockets to build.

They both look great! I never worry about minor imperfections. I go for 50ft paint jobs.

Must be nice. Those of us who suffer from Obsessive–Compulsive Rocketry Disorder (OCRD) analyze our paint jobs with a magnifying glass.

Build is finished except for the paint and hook up the recovery system. And you would think since its been so humid and I can't paint, that I would be out there sanding and filling and sanding................NOT! I like Quakes response, Nothing like a nice 50ft paint job! If I can squint and the imperfections disappear, its good!

Well it's in paint! Ready for recovery gear and a motor! I wasn't really liking the nose one shoulder so I cut it off and am epoxying a bulkhead and eyebolt in. This also helps because I needed/wanted a little more weight up front anyway.

Nice work, now go to the field put a H90 and get this Lev 1 certification. Use the Patriot as back up

Here's my G-Force, which sadly now belongs to the Trees. Got 5 good flights out of her though.:

Pic' from 2001.

Where you are launching sure looks like a lot of places to get caught in something. Sorry to hear you lost it.

Yeah, I know, but behind the person taking the Pic' was a large Feild. I angled it a few degrees in that direction, and it typically would land in the Feild. It went in a Tree one other time, but a Chainsaw got it down. It was my first Mid-Power Rocket, and losing it to the Trees was a good lesson to learn about making sure I don't have any Trees around. Sometimes, it feels windless on the Ground, and then the Chute' comes out and your Rocket starts going away instead of down.

Have to post the pics later today, but cut off the bottom of the nose cone, added a bulkhead and eyebolt, drilled and installed 3 removable rivets, tied the shock cord in. Going to flood the coupler with CA and sand it so I get a nice seperation point, its way too snug right now.

You really need to watch the winds aloft when you start MPR, and especially when you start HPR. You can have 2-3 mph surface winds and 15 - 20 mph at 3,000 ft. Every field and region is different. Talk with the club members that fly the site a lot. That is part of moving up to MPR & HPR, learning the field and how to fly it. Losing a rocket is a tough way to learn. If you can get advice from other experienced members, its usually cheaper.

Quake, this one is Rusto Acrylic Enamel, Premium Auto Formulation Deep Blue! And yeah I've put a few together in the last few weeks!

WOW!!! She's beautiful!!! I love that Blue. Really stands out!

Thanks! I know its an aerotech kit, but I'm gonna fly it on a CTI G83 Blue Streak (First Flight) then possibly a G118 this month!

Kinda late, but First Flight went last month, G83 Blue Streak (How appropriate!) Straight boost, chute at apogee, used a 24" chute but it was quite windy and it still drifted into the corn, but I had a screamer in it and found it in about 10 minutes. Great flyer!
