If you missed it, you missed a good one! Very light winds, moderate temps and lots of friends and hot dogs!

I got my photo album posted. You should check it out from our FlisKits web site. Just click on PHOTO ALBUMS (top, in the black header area) then click CMASS JULY LAUNCH

Good stuff! :)

Next launch in Amesbury! Hope to have new products available!

Jim

Check out the video from Howard's quad copter. You get to see one of my E12 catos and Claude's foam cup rocket from above..

And speaking of my E12 cato. Here it is. Out of 6 E12's flown on Saturday 4 failed.

Ya gotta love a post that includes the phrase "ONE of my E12 catos...". LOL

It wasn't just me, Guy also had two.

great video too! I love it!

The video is amazing considering Howard had never done it before and he couldn't see what the camera was seeing.

Wow. I've flown more E12s than that and never had a problem. Did I get a lucky batch? Is it a trend or just a bad lot? Maybe I should switch brands, so to speak.

Sorry I missed what seems to have been a good day. Had a good reason though. My son got married yesterday!

There was a problem with an early batch or two of these motors. MESS reports were filed and Estes made a lot of replacements. The newer batches have been good.

I suppose that's an acceptable excuse as long as you bring some left over wedding CAKE to the next launch.

Wow, there were good ones? After four cato's in row I was convinced it was all on purpose

Can we please hold CMASS raffle to buy Bill working motors? :D

Cake? I never saw the cake. I was keeping an eye on the beer supply. I did a great job. There isn't any left.

There would be no fun in that. Because of the way they fail and the way I overbuild rockets I can usually fly them again after the cato with minor repairs.

The good news is that the ones Estes sent me as replacements for a previous cato have a different date code. Lets hope they figured out what they were doing wrong between the two batches.

It wasn't just me, Guy also had two.

Not only did I have the two Saturday, but the first motor in the package cato'd when I flew that last year, so that package was 3 for 3 for catos.
Fortunately, I only bought the one package. They were E12-4 motors with a date code of A 08 18 11.

That is so cool. The cost of them platforms is not that bad. gives a really cool perspective of the launch.

I've seen the R/C guys fly R/C airplanes using live remote video. These were Jet aircraft moving quickly. I'm sure this person could do the same.
