NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What has happened to this world?!?!?!

<in your best Chicago accent> I'm From she-cag-oh, and you don't you DARE tald about my Blackhawks that way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a thing of beauty. Down 2 to 1, then score two goals in 17 seconds to go ahead 3 to 2, WOW!!!

Adrian

Dave Boland may be the biggest bender on the team, but I love him for scoring that game winning goal!

When the Hawks tied it up, I turned to my 20 y/o college goalie son and said to him, "Do you know what the record for the most overtime games in a Stanley Cup series is?" He didn't know (surprisingly!), and now I still don't know either... 17 seconds later it was a moot point.

Great game, great series, all the lockout crap is forgiven!

I agree.

GO HAWKS! ...and kudos to the Bruins for a great performance :handshake:. It was the first Stanley Cup finals with two of the original 6 teams since 1979. I felt like I was a kid again when watching these games. It was exciting hockey. Fast, physical, but still clean for the most part.

I did not watch any of the regular season this year, but I might watch more hockey next year. :headbang:

I don't really care for either team. I just don't care for the city of Chicago in general. Some individuals from that area.....nevermind.

And where were all you Hawk bandwagoneers before NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it when they chime in AFTER.....BUNCHA PUNKS A$$es

and you are posting this why?

Why don't you crawl back under your rock (or Idaho potatoes) and mind your own business. If you don't care for either team you did not have to read this thread, you know.

Sorry, I didn't start a "Chicago Blackhawks" thread on the "Rocketry" Forum earlier in the season. Don't really think your comment is necessary.

Whoa, calm down there killer. Disappointment is fine, but I don't get why "bandwagoner" attacks are the norm now when your team loses. Who cares about how many fans either team has, or how long they have been fans. Fans are good for the game, and the Bruins lost. Plain and simple.

Go Avalanche? Or am I a bandwagon fan because they won the cup those two times...

Geeze people, take a deep breath.......10, 9, 8......

I was rooting for the Hawks because I picked them in my office pool, now I get 7 free lunches. Woohoo!!! That being said, it was a very good series, great action, well balanced, and I'm sorry but Boston was getting away with some pretty vicious hits on Toews. I thought football season had started.....

I dont get where you are getting this...but I don't get why "bandwagoner" attacks are the norm now when your team loses.. I posted one post and by the replies,I would say "I HIT A NERVE>>>>>BAHABAHWAHAWAWAHAHABAHWABAHAB...
I been a Boston fan from way back when I was still crapping my pants.
I never called foul and I can take what I dish out.

What do you expect to get out of calling people "BUNCHA PUNKS A$$es"

I get it, you are sad that your team lost, apparently it brings back many, pant crapping memories for you.

I know you don't care what I think, I just don't understand when someone thinks they are a "mega fan" that anyone less is just a "Bandwagon Jumper"

Come on up to Chi Town, I would be happy to give you a tour of the city. Maybe I will even let you ride in my wagon.

GO HAWKS!!!

Heres a clue to all............

Its a HOCKEY thread,HOCKEY =FIGHTING, man-o-man some people just dont get it. Where is that EASY BUTTON...ha ha ha ha
And besides,its a Big "D" thread..no good instigator.

Maybe you hockey fans can explain something to me. Why do the refs. allow the players to fight? How do players think they are going to hurt the other guy with all the padding they are wearing? I have never been to a hockey game so I really can't judge it. The fights just seem like a waste of time.

The reason is because it's entertaining. In the NHL, a lot of people go to watch fights (Don't ask me why).

When you are playing in a close hockey game, adrenaline flowing and emotions running high, any little thing that the other team seems like it's the worst thing anyone can do. I've fought in hockey games before, but refs don't let fights go on in high school hockey nearly as long as in professional hockey. It's a completely different mentality when you are playing hockey.

Waste of time or not,Im not going to argue that.
However,if ya get a chance,go to a game(pro).
You only get a small part of the picture watching it on TV.
These guys are hitting and pokeing and shoveing each other all game long.
You dont see it all on TV and the ref dont see half of it either.
Like I say,..go see a game and youll see it for yo-self.
Mes-elf,I love the game. If one can get away from the fighting part and see the talent these guys have and the physically shape you have to be in, they might view it dif.
Think about it ,go out and run around full speed, smash into a few trees while your at it and at and see how many times and how long you last.
Oh and do this while balancing on 2 pieces of metal on edge about 1/8 thick.
It is a tough game and I can see where others dont like it...
Its the best game ever invented for short people .At least thats how it used to bea A short mans game that is.
As I said "I love the game"
I guess its "A Guy Thing"

I too was a hockey player and had to go fist to cuff a few times. I think thats why I build weird looking rockets.
I still skate and play a little pond hockey at 54 yrs old.

There is not near as much fighting as there used to be. They've tightened it up and opened it up and we get what we saw in this series. It is a great sport, I just wish I could play more and be better at it, but it's still fun.
