Well, one of my favorite tools went kaput this morning. :( I purchased this large random sander from Harbor Freight about five years ago when they were discontinuing the product. I use it on all my large projects. Works much better than those orbital palm sanders. Guess I'll have to head over next week and see if they have something equivalent on the shelf these days.

Harbor Freight is having one of their big parking lot sales this weekend.

At least mine is. Not sure if those are controlled nationally or not.

Yeah, but he only used it twice!:grin:

Over 5 years, I would guess I have used it on 40 high power builds from 2.5" to 7.5" diameter, including my L2 and L3 (below 2.5" I typically will use a hand block sander). Also major woodworking, finishing (e.g., kitchen cabinets for rental houses) and refinishing projects such as this.

I was just kidding, sorry if you took offense!

If you have the money look at one of these. I never regret buying a great tool. Bosch Sander

No offense. I was just actually amazed at how long it lasted--I did get my money's worth as I think it was under $25 when I purchased it.

Thank you for your kindness, as you know I was just joking. I hope you fine something to replace it with.

Picked up a replacement a couple days ago and used it today. Pretty nice. A lot less vibration which is good for the arthritis in my hands.
