Mike:

I'll be there and would be happy to do your level 2's after all we did the level 1's

rick

My girlfriend and are looking to get our level 2's done at this launch, anyone have any idea who we should talk to about that? Getting the tests done and signing off on the flight? Since METRA's gone down for now this will be our best bet and probably the last launch we get to attend for the year unfortunately!

Haha, Thanks Rick

Micky actually got our cert motors at NERRF when Tim had one of his sales. I've got a J270 Green to go with the theme of my rocket, and my gf got a J316 pink....which I'm probably more excited to see then my own!

What are you guys flying? I'm pretty sure that a mirage would fold on a J316......
Just look me up, I'll be there the entire time

rick

Haha yeah no mirage for this round :D. She's got a baddazz rocketry mizz rhonda. I decided to try my hand with carbon fiber so I rolled up some tubes and have been working on that project for the last few months, just got a few small details left to finish before the launch

To anyone interested; Maggie and I are putting together an Upscale Estes Starfighter Drag Race. We have our 4" scratch upscale Orion Starfighter and Starblazer X-20. Stan Senesy is supposed to bring his K&S Orion. Anybody else want to jump in, Kit or Scratch, we're looking at probably Saturday. Maggie and I will be on the front row near the RSO table (Maggie will be spending much time AT the RSO table). The more we can get the better. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

got a new gizmo to fly on a K2045 and a gizmo XL DD on a L3150....if I can get them done in time :> You know how I like to fly my gizmos....fast!

Troy,
I'd love to bring out my X-20 (K&S), but money is so tight right now, I can either fly in Culpeper ($10 field fee and 4 flights) or RG ($40 fee and 1 flight)...
I will definitely stop by and say "Hi" on Saturday, though...

Looking like the Featured Projects page is filling up nicely with big and interesting projects. This should be a great launch!

I am in the process of wrapping up all of my projects for this launch, schedule is looking to be:

Friday
  • Performance Rocketry Intimidator 3 - 54-1050 J300 Orange - Test of BRB 900MHz GPS
  • Scratch 5.5" Nike Smoke - 54-1400 White K750, airstarting 2x 29-360 I250 Whites - First attempt at air starts

Saturday
  • Performance Rocketry Competitor 5 - Aerotech M1297W - Level 3 attempt
  • Performance Rocketry Intimidator 3 - 54-2550 Purple K1200

Sunday
  • Performance Rocketry Competitor 5 - 76-7600 M3000 White - Mach Madness

This schedule should keep me plenty busy! Not sure if every rocket will be painted nicely, but they are all structurally complete.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

I'm pretty pumped to be able to Demo CTI's NEW 98mm 6XL 21000-O3500IM motor at Red Glare XIII :headbang:
The flight will be in my scratch built 8" ALBATROSS. Estimating an altitude of approximately 14,000'. The O3500IM has a burn time of almost 7 seconds! Just hoping for calm winds and clear skies.

Gary, I can't wait to see the pictures and video of this flight. I really enjoy IMAX motors and think that this will be ultimate IM motor to date.

Just want to clearify a point. The upscale drag race I proposed is NOT OFFICALLY PART OF THE LAUNCH. In fact I've decided not to do it at all to avoid any problems that may arise. Sorry for any confusion.

Just a few more weeks.... With the loss of the Metra field I haven't done any HP since LDRS! I gotta get on a field soon!!! From the Featured Projects page, posts here and on FB Red Glare XIII is looking to be a stellar launch. So looking forward to it.

Same here!
I just hope we get a break from this horrible weather!
Just started charging my batteries for the electronics since the power is back on.

How is the power and gas situation down near Price? I know we are a couple of
weeks away, but I still am having a tough time getting gas on long island, and have no power. Its really starting to cramp my style, and is impeding my ability to make motors for the launch. Ugh. Might have to start mixing by hand, but I don't have Tony's forearms....

Andy,

If you take 95 (not sure if that's an option for you) but the Turnpike (NJ portion of I 95) they have gas.
Otherwise just head out I 80 west into PA and they also have gas.
I had no wait time tonight locally since they went to the odd even thing.
The Philly refineries along the (Delaware River) weren't harmed and they are still producing as far as I know....
While surfing the net I found this awesome link for finding gas in the affected areas:

Hoping for light at the end of the tunnel. Crews in my area today, this has been an 11 day set back on my project. I didn't lose anything though so I am very lucky. Looking forward to my first RG!

We'll all be there cheering you on Mickey!

Hope the juice starts flowing again soon.

Only a week away...How are those projects coming?

Here's a quick picture of my progress on the Nike Smoke, loaded up for its first flight on a 54-1400 White and 2x 29-360 Whites...
