Dan, it's an old 14&1/2" Southbend with a 6' bed.

Wayne, I'm sorry to say that all 54mm production is delayed. Advance has had several set backs in the past month, including their father having a heat attack last week. He's doing better. :) If you need the 54/4000 hardware to fly at Airfest, send me an email and I'll ask TMT to send me a case back. Pointing to another thread, if profits overall were health in my business, I wouldn't have to wait till the last minute to get things made and restocked. It doesn't help me and it certainly doesn't help my customers. The rest of the 54mm cases are now very low in number, all but the 4 grain 54/1600.

Claude, the case is 51.15" long. The bulkhead will be recessed in the top end of the case. Only an eye bolt might stick out an inch or so.

If anyone would like to pick up 90um or 400um AP at Airfest, please send me an email ASAP to "scott at (company name). com"
I need to move some material to cover recent expenses. Let me know if you'd like any other items on the "Supplies" webpage as well.

I will also have 38 through 98mm LE & X grade liners w/casting tubes for sale. Sorry, no 54mm X grade at this time.

Thanks,

That last one was too long to fit in my Ultimate Darkstar.....it blew up Molly instead.

Thanks, Molly!! Takin one for the team!

ROFLMAO!

Unfortunately it is too long for what I currently have (or what can be made ready before Airfest).

Maybe some other time.

it blew up Molly instead.

Thanks for pointing that out, but it did not blow up. It suffered a burn through from excessive gas flow around the head end of the motor. That's the way it goes sometimes with experimental motors. A sad day that was, and completely unexpected. The same identical motor flown by Andrew Grippo in the photo I linked flew flawlessly, even after the mid section of the rocket shredded off. Unfortunately that meant a shovel recovery.

The anomaly has since been remedied with the addition of the o-ring seal on the bulkheads liner shoulder. This flight test will be for the single use nozzle.

I jumped in with an order Tim. Could Not Resist. Looking forward to seeing you and Jackie at Airfest!

I don't think I will make it this year but hopefully next year. :)

Back to the thread before it gets locked.

How many of us are in this race.
I am going to make a few attempts.

Should be a good time!!

I wonder if Dr. J could get me a "special" load.....hmmmmm???

There are no guarantees or warranties as they are experimental motors. I know most people already know this but it sometimes needs to be repeated.

Free EX rides are like banging that last hot drunk chick left in the bar at the end of the night without protection.

Always a good time, but you know might pay for it in the end...

If everything goes right it's over in 2-7 seconds...

sometimes it burns....

Griffin = WM BOD member :eyepop:

Is this what they call a hit & run?

Locked???? Says who????

Hey, I bet you'll see one of these flown at Airfest!

And you'll probably see a few a bunch of these flown as well, at a bargain bin price too. :)

It's like seeing another black striped Camaro. If you've seen one you've seen em all....

Yeah, but it's MY Camaro, and that's why I like it! LOL!!

What is a WM-BOD?

I actually hope I do see a few of your motors fly. I do enjoy seeing new cool stuff. And I think this rivalry between you and CTI is only good for the consumer. It's like two grease monkeys fighting to see who can get more horsepower.

Don't tell that to the chick in the bar. She digs hot rods. But not having to buy her own plan b the next day

Dear god teddy..... It's been weeks since I pissed my pants.... Thanks for ruining the streak

I have a Punisher on the way; I'm going to build it stock. I doubt I will hit it that hard, but I'll log a flight in the stock class. The only CTI hardware I own is 29mm - I don't imagine that will be very useful in this effort. :)

Let's keep this on-topic and refrain from the crude posts, please.

Thanks, --Lance.

Lance, let me know what or if you want to borrow of any brand 54 mm hardware

Dan,
I thought for sure YOU would be there. I had hopes to meet you in person. You will have to make it out to a MWP one of these years.

Nope...1,500 mile drive and a 6 month old son restrict me to the Big Easy (meaning East Coast...it was a bad reference).

I have my eyes set on Mudrock next year, however...

You don't need any hardware to fly a L1000W

Thanks Jason. I just might borrow a CTI case if it looks like I have a chance at the prize. :). I have loads of Aerotech and Loki hardware, but I probably won't have time to fly it more than once.

I have a few questions about Airfest
1- I plan on bringing the wife and kids but I am the only one that will fly, do I need to preregister them also or just me?
2- I would like to go for my L2 while I am there, will there be accommodations for that?
3- Are there Port a potties on site?
4- What are the evening temps there?

thanks in advance

I'll answer 2 and 3,
2) Yes, If you can't find someone, come see me at Chris' Rocket Supplies and I will certify you.
3) Absolutely, I think last year they had 6 total.

1 - Only adult flyers or tripoli TMP members need to register. You can buy extra tshirts or burger blast tickets via pre-registration if desired.
2 - What Chris said. There will be probably 20 or more TAP members and prefects there. Chris is one.
3 - Actually we will have 13 pots and many trash receptacles provided. Same as last year. Side note: waste management is our biggest expense.
4 - Early September is a transitional period. Usually, it gets down into the upper 60s. It has been warmer than that the last couple years. I would expect warm but bring a jacket or sweatshirt if you plan on staying past dark.

HTH, -, Lance.
