Well, we had a frigid launch this last weekend in Orangeburg, SC..Brrrrr..I THINK the high MAY have gotten to 40 for both days..Stayed mostly in the low to mid 30's with a light, but biting 5-10mph wind..

Was able to get a few videos when I wasn't huddled in front of the heater trying to stay warm!

First up on Saturday was my Trois Duex, has 3 deuce motor mounts stacked, 13mm, 18mm and 24mm..The up part went great, down part not so great..
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/h3gQvIT9r9M&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/h3gQvIT9r9M&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Next came my Applewhite 29mm Scimitar..I had this 24mm motor laying around that I THINK I built for the July or August launch last year and didn't get to firing..All I did was dump out the BP from the ejection well, and it fired right up! :)

And here Jim(Blackjack2564) flies his Darkstar on an I211...Wow, what a ride!:D
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/r_fC9ALwghI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/r_fC9ALwghI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

continued....

Here I fly my Scimitar on Sunday on a G64! Unfortunately the camera failed to pick up the true loudness of this motor and rocket screaming skyward..It was LOUD!
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yk6XxQBteIQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yk6XxQBteIQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Here Jim flies his Darkstar on an I357 this time! :D
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hJpWLOvcy7w&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hJpWLOvcy7w&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And finally(as this is the last of the videos I shot) is my Thor going up on a AMW/CTI I287 Black Bear! :) Very cool motor! Got an altitude of 2636..
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dWSSFTnMq7A&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dWSSFTnMq7A&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

There were LOTS of other really cool flights over the weekend. Even had a NAR L1 certification flight! Was a great, albeit very cold time!

I had planned on attending but it was so cold here in NC I didn't leave the house.:( Hopefully the weather will be good for next month's research launch.

With the TripoliSC web site in transition, I guess I'll have to post my videos to YouTube instead of the site. I'll get some up later this week.

Yeah, whats up with the TripoliSC web site??? I've been trying to get onto the site to take a look at the 2010 launch schedule.

I was going to try to make the last launch, but highs in the upper 30's made a wimp out of me (plus my little boy was sick and I couldn't go without him). So, I stayed at home and drank nice hot coffee all day. Glad you guys had a good time.

Yes, it was quite chilly! For the time being the TripoliSC website is:
http://www.tripolisouthcarolina.org/

Next launch is Feb 13 and 14th, with the 14th being a Tripoli Research day..

The next launch I can attend won't be until May 15-16th, which will hopefully be monumental as I will be going for my L3!:D

Thanks for the update on the website.

That launch falls on my birthday (May 16), and I've been working on my L2 project. Sounds like the stars are going to be in alignment for me...think I'll ask the wife and kids for a casing and a J engine for my birthday.

That way you can have a monumental weekend, and I can have a slightly less monumental weekend...but monumental all the same.
