Is there a good resource out there to learn about just exactly what equipment is needed, how to go about it, etc? I'm not familiar with a lot of the terminology used, and it sounds like something I might like to get into.

I know startup is not cheap, but what can I expect to pay (including GSE)?

KermieD:

Doug Pratt is a great source of info on hybrids.

You also might want to consider the floating injector hybrids made by RATT Works , Propulsion Polymers , and West Coast Hybrids. A bit less GSE and cost to get started. You can find more info on the site Doug runs. I think its www.flyhybrids.org.

I have a RATT Works H70 and I80 that I hope to fly later this year. Building a launch vehicle with a really long 29mm mount.

Good luck and let us know what you do.
