hi
do you need Tubular KEVLAR® (1/4") or is Tubular Nylon (9/16") fine of a 3 inch rocket and what aboutt the Nylon and the ejection blasts .

thanx

Matt,

If you use Kevlar, it is pretty much fireproof. Many fliers will use a length of Kevlar that extends about 12" beyond the bodytube opening, then tie Nylon shock cord from there. Also, some use a steel cable, which is also fireproof. If you use Nylon only, make it so you can attach it inside the rocket with a quick link and use a nomex shock cord sleeve to protect it from the blast.
