Every person who signs up will be entered in a drawing on a daily basis starting the day they sign up, till Thanksgiving Day. So the sooner you sign up, the more entries you get!

If you feel the need to send something to the North Pole, Jim Flis is authorized to provide you the information on how to reach Santa’s Village.

Have Fun!

Boys and Girls, the Secret Santa contest is getting bigger and better. Whoever is going to win the surprise present is getting a treat. Already got prizes donated, thanks to those vendors that already offered to donate towards the prize pool, and I sure hope that many more will offer something too :). Which means you better sign up now, because we already have nine trf'ers with 26 or 25 entries to win the Secret Santa Contest :)

Speaking of vendors, Art Applewhite would like everyone to see his poll about Vendor Services for Secret Santa at http://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?t=6972. If you haven't yet, head over there and vote!

Hey, for someone who does not like sparkies, he should ban this motor :P
http://www.gardei.com/Nemroc2009/D12_Silver_Comet.jpg

An Estes D12-5 :P How the CMASS LSO and LCO missed this dangerous motor is unknown to me :P

Ironically, the first grass fire from flying a model rocket I put out was caused by a D12.

I actually called my 'vendor-sendor' of choice just to explain the TRF-SS event, and specifically requested that a bill of sale 'NOT' be put into the package. I received an e-mail scan of the bill when the gift shiped out so I hope all worked according to plan.

Rectangular cardboard object with odd "Eagle" and other symbology adhered to the top arrived at my secret rocket laboritory yesterday.

My secret in-house inspection team has determined that said package is not currently ticking, smoking, hissing or coming up to pressure.

Muliple MRI's, CAT's, X-Ray's and several Rattle tests have proven an unknown conclusion of results as to contents of said box.

We have determined to "Vault" said package under a highly lighted and diguised conifer until our next meeting on or about 4 days post winter solstice.

Apparently, the M.A.S.S. Project (Mutually Assured Secret Santa) is in fact still very much in effect as well as spirit.

Need a kitten, want a kitten, have a kitten, for goodness sake please take our kittens!!!!!
Val has been feeding feral cats for so long the mothers bring the babies right on our deck to raise them. We have special insulated houses made so they can all stay dry and warm.
All the kittens come to you when called, know when it's feeding time, and can be handled. Being all are black, they're fairly easy to find in the snow, should they want to chase after any rabid lamas. :D
btw- those Lamas didn't by any chance come from the lama farm a few miles over form me, did they? Because those Lamas look pretty mean and nasty as it is. ....They stare at you, with evil eyes as you drive by.

Ok, I admit I did not use one of the prefered SS suppliers BUT I found what I needed from the pinned Rocketry Resources thread. The prices were low and the rockets were from the manufacturers he wanted.

I mean, delivery by llama or any dromedary is pretty cool:hohoho: if you don't mind camel spit;) but the prices on the rockets were low enough that adding shipping the cost was a little lower than retail.

One thing I know, the recepiant will be very pleased with what he gets, I know I would if I got the same thing(I was actually intending for these rockets to go to me:D )

Well, I promised I'd post what came from PapaElf. And I want to thank him a great deal. With everything that has gone on in my life since August, this came at the absolute perfect time. I know that there is a silver lining to all of this, but seeing it sometimes is kinda hard.

So, a little early, but with everything that will be going on the next 2 days, its ok, I think.

First, a 40 gram bottle of QuickDip from QuickBurst. (This arrived first) I can't wait to make my own igniters.

Then in one box the following came in.

A 24" chute from K & S. This will be put to GOOD use.

A Shadowlord from FlisKits. #37. Half tempted to save it, but I won't. I'll build it.

A Goblin from InFlight. Always wanted a Goblin.

A free kit up to 29mm from Art Applewhite. It will be either a Stealth or a Scimitar. Haven't decided which yet.

A set of Der Big Daddy decals from Excelsior. I happen to have a Big Daddy that is red and black and needs repainting anyways. So a little sanding, and I'll have a Der Big Daddy.

And then there was this thing in there that was all sticky. Like some huge mammal slobbered all over it. Then I saw the hair and knew it was a Llama that slobbered all over it. Once I applied my patented Super Llama Slobber Cleaner (TM), I found it was a Kraken. Perfect. CATO has just started drag racing these, and maybe we can get a new tradition started.

Thanks, PapaElf. You've made my holiday.

I was getting a little worried for Lauren, but the US Mail brought a long, triangular box from Pemberton Technologies today. Since this is really for her, and because the box was bent in half, I looked inside to see how bad the damage was (tell me I am not in danger of a rabid Llama attack!). Luckily, there was one kit in each end, unharmed. Thank you to our Secret Santa, she will LOVE the Kraken and the Payloader One! The kits are wrapped and under the tree as I type this for her happy discovery tomorrow morning.

I had gotten a fairly large box with the big Quest logo on it..Upon opening it I find:

My wife decided that we'd open some of our gifts this evening, what with being snowed in (hey, for the second time this year we got a good snowfall in North Texas - about 3" today!) and can't go out to find a theatre playing Avatar like we had planned...

So, to my Secret Santa, thanks for the Llama's Little Bucky Jones Space Cadet ! It went pefectly with the Star-Trek movie boxed DVD set my wife got me - she always HAS thought I was a space cadet! :santa-smile:

It's a little smaller than you are used to building. I thought you might get a kick out of it.

... and the Thunderbird will put some serious craftmanship hair on my knuckles.

That's the best kind of knuckle hair to have.

Jim Flis had one on display at his booth at NARCON. It certainly is a builder's kit.

This morning I opened a big Quest box. Inside I found a great assortmant of rockets, both built and kits! Just like I asked for.

Two very nice built rockets were in the box. One is a futuristic silver build, and the other is a blue and yellow checked rocket. I'd love to know the kits. The builder did a great job!

Additionally, Santa also gave me an Estes Scissorwing Transport, an Estes V2, and a Sunward Mirage!

All these will prove to be very nice additions to our Space Ex classroom! The kids will love them.

Thanks for your generosity. It is very appriciated!
