hi all,
i've done a bit of searching through this forum and google but my search has been fruitless. Does anyone know of a model that resembles the Weasel by LOC? I love the look of that rocket but it's just too big (MPR) for where i am currently. looking for something that i can fly on B's and C's at the local park. Please chime in if a particular model comes to mind.. thanks for the knowledge guys.

A downscale of the Weasel by LOC would have a striking resemblance.

Man why didn't i think of that...
Actually... I made a ~26 inch long bt-50 D-powered 'downscale'. but when launched it went up roughly 40-50 feet before it decided to make a couple loops and come back to earth wayyyyyyy too hot. oh it was a beaut too, i guess murphy thought i spent too much time on fin fillets and paint!

So... i was thinking until i get my scratch building capabilities on up to par i'd stick with tried and true kits.

oh and btw Bradycros your TRF logo rocket looks amazing. you do have some serious skills.

If you made one the same size with low power thin tubing (bt-60), it would weigh about 1/2 or at most 2/3 as much. You just need to work it out in openrocket to make sure your center of gravity is right. I'm seeing about 300 some feet on a d12 with about 3 minutes of playing around in openrocket. Probably would need to downsize to use a c.

Estes has a new kit called the fletcher (http://www.estesrockets.com/rockets/by-engine/by-engine-mini/002444-fletchertm), which is close. Made to look like an arrow. It's a mini engine kit, but bt20 i think so you could probably put in a B for 500 or 600 feet.
