Saturday morning was clear and perfectly calm; so I walked over to the local park to fly a few micros. My Flis fleet is currently in for repairs, so this was an all Quest Event. The first flight was the No Mercy. This LPB is one of my original fleet from 1999, and it is celebrating its 40th flight! I have strange luck with the Quest rockets; either they destroy themselves on the first flight or they last for years. Flight was straight up and the streamer even ejected. Nice flight to an estimated 100'. Next up was the Quest Blackbird. This is also one of my early birds from the 2000s. Now that it has been DCed; I don't fly it as often as I used to...a real shame because it is one of the better fling scale LPBs. Boost was straight to about 75'. The streamer had been removed and it game in fast, breaking the nose off on landing. A field CA repair had it back to flight condition. Last up was a Quest Boingo. I really think Quest was conservative with their 75' altitude prediction, as mine always flies out of sight. I hear the ejection pop and listen for it whistle on the way down to get a bearing on it. My "boing" bounce gave it a second flight of about 5 feet :)

Next time out will be an all Flis show, the teeny triskelliton, do-hickey, and honest john are currently drying on my kitchen table.
