The Contrail 54mm J416 is one of the rocketry's great motors. Too bad not too many people get to experience (see/hear) one.

They 2 great flights. It look like you may need a more sturdy launch pad. Are you useing a launch rail? Looked like a fair amount of rod or rail movement at lift off.
Have Fun

absolutely right, the launch pad is at limit... we are building currently a strong one for the higher contrail impulse motors.

But the high definition slow mo start is so enjoyable.. have you tried the HD view? so fun... contrail motors can move stones obviously :-))

Is that a kit or scratch rocket? If a kit, which one?

Now one year later, preparation near to be finished for the same launch meeting again...but with new rockets: Megacowabunga XXL, V2 and Eagle Claw 4...and a Badazz Defender 3...all rockets FG & CF, all scratch or heavily modified...because they will all fly hybrid contrail rocket motors...MGB XXL and V2 in the L & M range, Eagle Claw will fly K and Defender H range... CU there..posting & videos in 2 weeks from now..hopefully no damages, just pure hybrid pleasure...
