Quest Aerospace, Inc. Pagosa Springs, Colorado – QUEST Announces it has begun shipping the new QUEST How High Altimeter. The Quest how High is a complete self-contained, self powered instrument. This tiny light-weight (0.25 oz) unit provides peak altitude readings right at the field immediately after your flight with a range of 50 to 7000 ft. AGL. A single light-emitting diode (LED) reports altitude data through a series of flashes. It does not require the use of a computer or any additional equipment.
Just like the altimeter in a full scale aircraft, the Quest How High altimeter determines altitude by sensing tiny changes in atmospheric air pressure. It uses a state-of-the-art pressure sensor and proprietary calculation technique to provide a very high level of accuracy for such a low cost instrument.
