Just got back from a sergical strike at ihobby.
Quest was there showing there new catalog's kits. Custom was there (I finaly got to see Andy in the flesh). they have some new kits coming out and re releasing the Landviper but with a ogive nosecone insted of the Big Bertha style. (I would love to see a Sieron 3 VS Landviper drag race:D).
And Estes is going back to the 5 skill levels, A Daddy (D powered) Mosquito and will have an original mini in the bag. kinda like a buy one get one free deal. And some interesting items in the works (wish I had my camera).
We (Starlight) is sponsering the make and take By providing 650 kits and a local school is doing the work to earn the money for TARP.

I guess the banking system needs more help than I thought.

Either that, or they hate a muddy infield.

No, Fred, that's tarp, not TARP. One's an acronym, the other isn't. :D

I'm sure that was a lot of people's initial thought.

Lets get this correct. A Chicago bank has a leeking roof and not enought gov. funds to fix it so just through a TARP over it till after the election.:D

Truth be told the TARP Program is turning a profit.

Yes way, and I'll have a daddy skeeter on hold. Just don't know when I'll get a chance to build it.

Any idea on the price yet? Any chance of pre ordering?

Looks like some pretty exciting stuff! For those who don't normally get over there, this was posted over at YORF:

In addition to the Daddy Skeeter (which looks like it might be BT-80 sized), check out the Trident reissue, the Honest John and the return of the Fin Alignment Guide! I can't wait!!! :D

Out in Evanston visting family and finished those obligations about 2 pm today. Got to the show a little after 3 and walked every aisle. Saw Estes, Quest and Custom and picked up liturature. Nothing to add beyond what was written above.

Chatted with Tripoli's people for a little but didn't see the NAR booth (may have been packed up as late as I got there).

Lots of traffic coming and going, $13 for parking and three miles of walking; lots at the show but the garage was quite a haul away from the door. Almost ended up at the jewelry show elsewhere in the center; it was only $5 dollars to get in there and it was a different looking crowd.

Everyone seemed happy with the weekend so we'll call this one a success.

Going to put my dogs up for a while.
