My clone. Loved it as a kid so I wanted a new one. I turned the nosecone from a resin blank. No tailcone. Naturally, Estes rereleased it 6 months after I built it.

My last completed build before Christmas. It`s the Estes Satelite Interceptor ,another fun build I must say.See.....not eveything has to be high power to be fun ;)

I can hardly wait to start my K & S upscale version ,but I must focus on other projects ,and it won`t be easy !

All finished and ready to fly....although I`ll have to wait untill fall for our next HP event :(

Again great kit ,a pretty easy build. The only real con is getting all the fins filled ,then getting them possitioned properly and all them fillets.....but that`s just the way it is ,isn`t it.

If ever this kit comes up for limited sale again ....JUMP on it !!!

The graphics are from Mark at Stickershock.com and as usual, flawless. The vinyl comes on 2 big sheets and takes a bit of time getting them ,and making sure they are on straight ,masking take takes care of that.

Thanks Scott and Mark !

Like a lot of you, I have several. I wanted to clone one to replace the one I had in high school, but that nose cone was tough to come by in 2001. The pointy PNC-55 cone was all over the place, so I built an upscale, my first D-powered bird.

Not long after this project was finished, I won a Wildfire kit in an Ebay auction. I made myself a set of decals and this was the result.

http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l529/rmortis/EstesSatelliteInterceptoronporch.jpg

Then I won a ragged original in another Ebay auction. This was my first restoration of a classic rocket and it came out looking great.

http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l529/rmortis/EstesSatelliteInterceptor.jpg

The most recent S.I. was an Estes S.W.A.T. conversion that I clustered.

First flight only went off at 66% power, but I got lucky.

66%! Just like high school!:D

I just finished this little Estes Crossbow. I left off the clunky motor hook, substituted kevlar for the rubber shock cord, and repositioned the dowel pods pointing forward. The paints are Rustoleum white and smoke gray. The decal sheet for this model is great - they went on easily and look terrific.

I'm looking forward to flying this rocket, probably on As and Bs. For now, it's just looking pretty on the shelf.

That's awesome! I never understood why this rocket didn't have more of a following than it did. I guess I should just STFU and be glad that Estes saw fit to rerelease it.
