All,

QuickBurst now carries E-Matches, very similar to the Cosmos E-matches I once offered. These matches currently come with 3 meter leads and are compatible with all known altimeters. I will be selling them as individual units, you will be able to order as many or as few as you like. Pricing will be $1.50 per match. I did a little bench testing and observed the following.

ARTS2 – 100% success, each match tested functioned as designed. Please note that the ARTS2 is a little picky about e-match selection, all of my testing was performed using the two battery configuration. I would not suggest using these matches with the ARTS2 in the single battery configuration.

MAWD – 100% success, each match fired on demand.

PerfectFlite HA45 - 100% success, each match fired on demand.

Missile Works RRC2 - 100% success, fired on demand.

I do not have the factory all fire specs, however I believe it to be around .5 amps, similar to other offerings. Resistance measured is as follows, minimum 1.34 ohms and a maximum of 1.68. Averaging out to 1.52 Ohms.

These e-matches are classified by DOT as follows:

UN Proper Shipping Name: Igniters, UN0454

UN Classification Code: 1.4S

The DOT classification above means that they can be shipped “USPS Surface Only” under my existing USPS letter of approval. This means my e-matches will be shipped under the existing USPS rocketry exemption, in other words …… no HazMat fees. Shipping will be CON US only, International shipping is not allowed.

A BATFE permit is required. I can’t change that.

The matches are in stock and ready to be shipped.

Until I can get the site updated customers are asked to contact me directly:

Don't mean to be rude but $1.50 a match? wow! Jteks are only $1 each when I order 1000 of them. That sounds like alot but we go trough a few hundred with fireworks and 4 for each rocket launched.

Man, your getting ripped off then Ben.

I just ordered several hundred Jteks from MJG and it only cost me about $0.40per ematch.

how long of leads. The last ones I ordered were 12 foot leads and completely shipped they were $0.85 per match when we ordered 1/2 a case (I think that was 3-4 boxes)

Sometimes I don't get them straight from MJG and that does add .05 or .10 a match.
