One of my buddies graciously donated about 100' of neptco Mule Tape to my rocketry efforts.

The many facets that appeal to me currently is the fact that it is flat (no zippering!) and a very stylish yellow:cool:

The fact that it's rated at 900lbs is an indication that for my LPR efforts (nothing over a D yet), seems more than sufficient.

Looking at their website, I can find this pdf link that seems similar except for the strength rating.

Anything has to be an improvement over my estes nose dingers, right?

I've been using mule tape in my mid-power & some HPR rockets for quite a while now. I've yet to need to replace any of it.

Be aware that it will not remain flat! It can become a very effective zippering tool on unsuspecting airframes. Just be sure to use generous lengths of the stuff, and be careful selecting motor delays.

What you have is what Nomex is made from. Short of buying tubular Kevlar, you probably have as good of shock cord for LPR as you can get. It's actually a little overkill, but most folks around here would cheer that.

There used to be a couple of folks selling both the 3mm and 11mm versions on the forums... I've got both, have been using it for a couple of years for my LPR and MPR rockets without a problem. It's good stuff!
