Astronaut Jay Apt, who has spent more than 35 days in space on four space shuttle missions, is coming to the Challenger Learning Center for Science & Technology (CLCST) Saturday, May 1.
CLCST is teaming up with the Civil Air Patrol, Team America Rocketry Challenge and the Fox Valley Rocketeers for an exciting day focused on flight, rocketry and space. The open house is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free.
Apt, who performed two space walks, will visit the open house from 1 to 2 p.m. and speak from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tickets for his presentation are $8.
You can also purchase a raffle ticket to WIN DINNER FOR FOUR WITH ASTRONAUT APT Dinner will be at The Woodstock Public House at 6 p.m. following his presentation. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
