Just wanted to take a moment to recomend Spherachutes for your next project. My wife and I needed a couple chutes for our L1 projects and she wanted hers to match her rocket finish (Shocking!:D I mean realy; accesorizing your rocket!?!?!). I tried the Spherachutes website but had some minor site trouble (which was quickly fixed I might add). I called to place my order and Julie provided some of the best customer service I could hope for. Prices are great for what you get and what you get is some of the highest quality work I've seen in a long time. Custom color selection at no extra cost when ordered direct. Drawstring storage bag with each chute and fast delivery. Many comon sizes are available but custome work is possible through direct contact. We will be dealing with this company frequently.

They are wonderful folks.
They made me a nice custom multi color chute with only a couple of weeks notice before a big ESL event at MDRA/2002 ..it arrived in their nice storage bag before I packed up and left to the launch. I still fly that chute and it has held up extremely well over the years.

Spherachutes are excellent, and I have used their chutes many times for my smaller HPR rockets (up to around 60" chutes). I can definitely agree with the recommendation.

Spherachutes are great. I too would highly recommend them and will most likely be a repeat customer the next time I prefer a custom colored chute.

I use a 36 inch Spherachute in my Pem Tech King Kraken and it works great. I've flown the KK twice and the chute brought the rocket back safely both times.

Since this is a tube fin rocket, a slow and stable (keeping spin and sway to a minimum) descent is a must to prevent crunched and dented tubes and the chute certainly didn't fail in that area.

Another thing I like about Spherachutes is you can pick the color scheme to match your rocket. I had my chute made in red and black to match the trademark red and black colors of the PT Kraken series.:D

Not to mention the chute looked great in the air too.

I have to also put forth a HIGH RECOMMENDATION for Spherachutes (www.spherachutes.com). I have an assortment of their chutes of all sizes. I have seen them recover a rocket in a ballistic dive with no damage to the chute, or the rocket. I used a 96"'er for my L2 (overkill, but safe). Of course, I love the tight packing and jeez, when you look at them, the attention to detail--a thing of beauty. It had been a while since I ordered from them though, but given the 20 years in business sale they have going on, I had to "pull the trigger." And now, I remember the great customer service/delivery. I ordered on the morning of 3/30 (http://www.rocketryforum.com/showpost.php?p=87915&postcount=20). I got communication from them that the order was placed, but also a note saying that each 'chute is made to order and to expect 2 weeks for delivery. I went over to the post office today and what do I find??? My 84" chute!!! Again, a thing of beauty--made and delivered in 72 hours no less.

all of my large projects have had spherachutes. Excellent quality and a good price, and I like picking out the panel colours! I did all my certifications using one of their chutes.

I ordered a 60" Spherachute last night and received an email saying it was shipped today. Great chutes, great service.

I ordered one today using their anniversary code... So I don't pick the colors but I saved 10 bucks. Will be for my L1 cert rocket :-)
